I've made a couple of changes to the title to make it read correctly.

Nowadays you can get good players who are out of contract, without paying transfer fees. It will be a different situation in the summer for Tis (from last year) as he'll have a few bob in his pocket to compete with other clubs in terms of wages to attract new players.
Fab if we can get the real deal on freebies Flakey, but the summer window is a real opportunity for us this time round, and I'm just saying spending, for example, 80k, on each of those 3 key positions for the right people could be the difference between success and failure, I think the wages will take care of themselves if the new signings bring success, speculate to accumulate and all that.....

Hanging up the boots.
The pkayers are not the issue. Start with Tisdale and we'll be good.

Jay do you think the players we have are good enough to get us out of this league? I know you dont like tizza but surely there ability should shine through regardless of tactics in place

So with a small budget why keep him?
Why does the budget have to be small!! we've sold player for £1.75 million of which 1/3 will be going back in to the playing budget spread over 3 seasons according to the third tranche or whatever its called.

Sorry wasn't questioning the ages, was meaning that I was undecided over whether they should be released.

Re: Who would you try to get rid off in the summer?

I keep being drawn to this thread as I find it really interesting. Just a quick question, I know most of us are down in the dumps after our post grimes collapse, but bearing in mind we are in the basement division, where hardly any teams have perfect squads, how many share the view that 3 quality additions would be enough for us to rise above the dross ?.......and if that happened are we close to a successful side ?
