Such sad news, i was lucky enough to have met Dacre on a couple of occasions and his dedication to the club was second to none, why does it always happen to the good ones? :( My sincere condolences to his family.

RIP Dacre, you will be very sadly missed.

RIP to City's number nine. Sleep tight love
Such a very sad day for ECFC. Having met Dacre a few times his passion for the club was obvious and could not have been more genuine. He dedicated his time to the club and will be sorely missed. :(
RIP Dacre

Really saddened and shocked at this news. A true gentlemen, supporter and workhorse. This is a very sad day for ECFC. I would like to voice my support for a minute's applause.

This is a very sad time to be Grecian, we are losing some amazing servants to the club in such a short time-spell. RIP Dacre

Gutted. People like Dacre are the reason that are club is so special. His hard work and effort were one of the reasons that i got actively involved in helping out at work parties. He always had a time for a chat, one of the nicest people you could meet.

Thoughts are with his family, we wil miss you a lot.

Phil and Lisa.

I'd like to say thank you, from both myself and on behalf of my family, for the extremely kind and genuine comments left here in regards to Dacre.

It is heart-warming to see that someone who dedicated so much of his time and effort to the club was genuinely appreciated by those who were so fortunate to come across him. And that his hard work and support of the club has helped benefit both the club and those fans which visit St James Park.

Finally, I'd just like to thank everyone who has ever attended work parties, stayed for after game clean ups, took part in Grecian Goal or simply just turned up at the ground to help Dacre out. I know that he appreciated anyone who was willing to come down and help, and it meant a lot to him that so many people did so.

Once again, thank you so much for all the messages, it really means a lot.

In August my husband contacted Dacre to organise a stadium tour for myself and my brother for our birthday. Dacre showed us around and talked passionately about the club and ground and it was clear how committed he was to the club!

As people have already said, it's people like him who make a small club like Exeter so special!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
