And a nice little mile or so walk from mine :)
Most of the other pre season games are on when we're away so I'll be selfish and say I'm looking forward to this one.
I was really shocked about this when I received an email from Alan Crockford this morning. Mark & I have known Dom through the Exiles for nearly 20 years.
Our thoughts are with Rachel and Dom's family at this sad time.
My favourite memory of Dom will always be the match at Reading, Scott...
Wow what a morning! Thank you so much to everyone who ran for the foundation, it was great to share it with you. The support from the crowd was amazing and I don't think i have ever felt so much proudness as when i crossed the line with my Dad!
I agree it was an amazing atmosphere, our local...
I sent a message through the Foundation website, got a reply today asking for size requirements, payment and a return address to be sent through to the Foundation and they will post me two out.
Apologies if this is really cheeky, but myself (Jane) & Mark Hooper are taking part in the Great West Run as part of "Team Stanno".
We are collecting sponsorship for the Foundation from family, friends and work colleagues and have also set up a Just Giving page for anybody living further...
Training is going well, we ran a local 10 mile race in Wiltshire last weekend in 1hr 28mins, hopefully that might mean I can get a 2hr half marathon (husband's looking at around 1hr 40mins). Got a 10k race lined up four weeks before the GWR
Got to get round to setting up a Just Giving page soon...
According to the Swindon Advertiser, Austin has now signed for Burnley on a 3 1/2 year contract. Hope that means he isn't being loaned back and wont be playing tomorrow.
There are some good programmes too on www.taketothestreets.org. I used theirs for my first half marathon last September, and have been using it again for Great West Run and for general runs when not race training.
There was a thread on here a while ago from Thames Valley Red, regarding running for the Adam Stansfield Foundation at the Great West Run.
I am taking part with my husband, we secured the places through Andy Cole, as the Foundation is one of the official charities. If you get in touch with Andy...
Great result for the Chiefs, but had to miss watching the last 20 mins on Sky as I had to pick my son up from the game!! Hopefully it'll be shown again on Sky during the day and somebody at home will have recorded it for me.
Could tell they had won when a bedraggled 16 year old climbed into the...
I think Duffy may be lucky, I've read the following on the FA Disciplinary site:
iv) If a Player accumulates ten cautions in FTCM between the opening day of the Playing Season and the second Sunday of April in the same Season, he will be suspended automatically for a period covering:-
Two...
According to comments in the Swindon Advertiser, one of the Town fans was sat next to Colin Calderwood and was told he was looking at a City player, the Town fan believes that he was actually looking at Austin but who knows.
Yes I get really pi&&ed off with it, to be honest I'm a City fan first but was born in South London and come from a family of Millwall fans so you think I'd be used to it by now.
There were comments in the Swindon Advertiser in September when STFC played Millwall on a Saturday and the comments...
Two pubs in Biddestone! although The Biddestone Arms is better than The White Horse ;) Tis is a lucky man if he lives in Biddestone, a lot nicer than Chippenham!!
I was born in Bromley, my son was born in Lewisham Hospital though and my Dad worked in Verney Road opposite the New Den.
I have to agree, Millwall do still get a raw deal in the press, I've only ever been caught up in trouble twice, once was at Selhurst Park v Palace and the other was the FA...
As I was born in South London and come from a family of Millwall fans, I better stand in the away end that night then with all the other C*ckney ruffians! ;)
Make a change to see what the view from the away end is like! hopefully it'll be a draw then I wont be too disappointed either way.
Yes I have seen Tully's missus, she doesn't do much for me I'm afraid, I'm a girl :)
Keith Stevens (Rhino) ex millwall defender used to have a white BMW with a J10 DEN number plate.
