Interesting looking back at the fixtures..The last Saturday of the season was the 14th May,though as was usual in that era there were a few fixtures played after the official end of the season.

The Jubilee Appeal game at Hamden Park(The Queens Silver Jubilee) had a decent crowd.
Hard to imagine a similar type of fundraising game these days.

Liverpool winning the European Cup for the first time.

The Home International Championship..Great days.

8-9th April 1977.
I remember the game at Plainmoor.it was a tight match.
At SJP the next day with the same team.No sub used in either game.

This great photo of the Norman Kendall gate in Old Tiverton Rd has been posted by The Exeter City Museum Charity Trust on Facebook(check out the page)
Guessing it’s mid 1960s.
By 1970 the building on the left had gone.The area then housed temporary classrooms for Bishop Blackall School.
What a wonderful image.
