Does anyone know the length of the contracts that Duffy, Noble & Nardiello have got? I presume they're all one year but doesn't say on either the club or Echo website.
For me, our away end is legendary. Put yourself in the mind of all those Leeds / Charlton / Saints fans. After about as long a journey as you're going to have all season you walk out on to that terrace (except there isn't really a terrace as it's so flat) without a hint of shelter. Get wet, cold...
I think we're all agreed he is a great shot stopper but not the best in the air - if he was both he would have gone long ago.
What disappoints me most is the way he was treated by his own fans, laughing at his kicking etc. 90% of sport is confidence and when will people understand that giving...
Completely agree wtih LOG. Same happenned before Mackie left -sitting out a game because he was "unsettled".
Whether Harley stays or goes he's on to a winner. He'll get a big money move now or June so all he really has to worry about is if whether he wants a few more months with us. In the...
I remember going to Aldershot with everyone noisily singing "We've got John Challinor" at the 'Shots fans stood next to us on the terrace under that low roof, as of course we'd signed him from them. At the time I rated him, and from the singing around me so did most others. Bit sad when a career...
Greetings Andrew.
He's already played at a higher level than some of Wednesday's England squad (the goalkeepers whos names I forget) so your suggestion may not be as daft as it sounds!!
WEST Hagley Grecian #2
Shocking news. Like many I had no idea his surgery had not been curative.
Thoughts are with his wife & their children growing up without their Dad.
RIP.
...and even more nerve racking. Hats off to the players, beating a much better team than those we've played on the last day in the previous two seasons.
I remember my Membership card, Mrs Thatcher's farcical attempt to stop hooliganism. Was either 87-88 or the season after that. As I recall I think they were needed for the Cowshed but not for the Big Bank. I remember borrowing a friend's card to get in despite him looking nothing like me...
I am also on a run of sorts but this one I have ended voluntarily - been to four games this season & we've lost the bleddy lot. In years gone by this wouldn't have been remarkable but this hasn't been a bad season. Planning on going to Shrewsbury - should I bother?
If it was Northwich it was that appalling game on Setanta on the same day as an England Euro Qualifier. Feels like a lifetime away - I am so glad we are out of that tin-pot league.
Crikey, those stats say alot; 76% posession but only 5 shots! Sounds like a frustrating afternoon against a re-organised side with new manager syndrome. Presume they only came for a point & were delighted with it.
Excellent attendance- well done you.
