So, it seems there's no requirement to eat 'a substantial meal' in order to purchase a drink at a football ground. However, you do have to be sitting down.

Not sure we have the infrastructure to make this work at SJP, beyond the upstairs hospitality areas.

How much of the stagecoach stand is taken up with players and staff social distancing?

Are we looking at a 3 sided ground?

It would be possible under the SASS if seats & tables were put in one end.Whether it’s worth the hassle & hire extra staff to wait on the tables is another question.

I'd agree, it'd be possible, but not sure it would warrant the effort.

As an aside, if you want a pint of beer you have to be seated at a table, but one presumes you if you want a tea, coffee, or soft drink you queue up as normal. Dare I say, it's hard to fathom the logic.

Nicky Law saying that there’ll only be 1000 fans in for the first game.
1 000 fans for the pizza cup would seem to make sense, especially as we've not any sort of trial beforehand. Very hard to guess what the crowd might be; ordinarily you'd expect the crowd to be comfortably less than a 1000 but presumably the fact it's the first game back might boost the numbers.
After that, it's a very tough call about what happens next. We all want the maximum permitted number of fans in the ground as soon as possible but there isn't much time between games for the club to assess and plan for the next game.

In some ways it will help that we haven't got a home league game until next weekend. We can look at how others are doing and adapt accordingly.
For me, if the club says no food or drink for the first few games I would be absolutely fine with that.

To be fair, they've been letting 4 or 5 in recently.

On topic, it'll be interesting to see what their maths are leading to 200 short of a possible 2,000.

Indeed...Cambridge are having a 2,000 capacity at the Abbey Stadium,a much smaller ground.

Cambridge had plans for a 2,000 capacity test for a EFL fixture signed off in September initially before the local authority got cold feet after noises from the government that football would not be back as a spectator sport in mid October as was planned.
