When the World Watched “1970 Brazil” on ITV4

A documentary film from 2020 about that wonderful Brazil team that won the World Cup in Mexico ‘70 winning all 6 games.
The players in the squad talk through the tournament with the backdrop of the official FIFA film
of the tournament.
The team they feared most was England, who by many observers had the better of the game in Guadalajara..Ball hit the bar, Astles miss & something I forgot, Franny Lee knocking out the keeper Felix with a boot going for a ball.

Fascinating stuff. A great insight into the team from Jairzinho who imo was on a par with Pele in Mexico ‘70.

I doubt anyone will be talking about Qatar ‘22 in 50 years time.
Carlos Albertos great goal & the final goal of Mexico ‘70.
The TV coverage here does not do it justice.
The official FIFA film is from the other side of the pitch, being a far superior position to see the majesty in the build up & finish.

Umm, how come 9 million is 52% of the share? Is this just terrestrial TV?

I think 'O'night' share' is the percentage of viewers who watched it live or recorded but on the same day.
ie. the rest (47.4%) watched a recorded version but on a different day.

Ah, that sort of makes sense. Thanks.

10th November 1971.

The days of Tom & Jerry after Nationwide..We always said “ Good old Fred” at the end of it in those days.

Later on Sportsnight with Coleman a European Nations Cup qualifier(Euros in new money)
It ended 1-1.
England did qualify from their group, eventually being knocked out over 2 legs in the quarter finals by West Germany: 1-3 at Wembley : 0-0 in Berlin the following May.

SPOILER ALERT
Not sure how true it is but I've heard a rumour that, should Boy George be selected for one of those "Bush Tucker" trial thingys they have prepared a special meal of a particular metachromatic reptile cooked in an extremely mild curry sauce.
