In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Julien Temple released a documentary about Glastonbury Festival, in what I think was one of their fallow years,(2006) and it’s premiere was at the Palace Night Club, Bridgwater, because he lived locally to here I believe at that time.
I went along to watch it and nicked one of the posters from the wall afterwards and asked him to sign it for my brother so I could send it to him as he’d been a frequent attender for many years but unwell at that time.
A bit of a Rock & Roll area, Bridgwater..Joe Strummer lived in the area for years until his untimely death in 2002.

When i saw the Its A Knockout teams, my first thought was the infamous Anti Nowhere League b side of their debut single, So What ? Just Brighton was missing 😁

Yes, he lived in Broomfield on the Quantocks.
He played a benefit gig at the Palace in November 2002 for I think striking firefighters or maybe the Engine Room an arts centre in Bridgy and unfortunately and unexpectedly passed away the following month.
I love living in Bridgwater.

Always liked "Trouble Over Bridgwater" as an album title.

I don't recall ever watching this. Wasn't David Jason in it?

So good it's been used twice.
By Half Man Half Biscuit of course but originally a 'Scrumpy and Western' live folk album made in the late 70s.

It would be a great name for a Simon & Garfunkel tribute act 😎

I remember "The Mind of Mr. J. G. Reeder" well.

This episode featured Michael Bates playing an Indian. I've sometimes wondered if this earned him the gig in "It Ain't Half Hot, Mum".
