Heads up for tomorrow on TPTV at 4pm(Sat 24th July)
Way Out West(1937) Laurel & Hardy, with a great role for James Finlayson who was in many of their films.
Managed to watch some of this.

Saloon customer: "Say, Finn, you're a lucky skate, having a swell gal like Lola."
James Finlayson: "What do you mean? Why, she's the lucky one, being married to a swell fellow like me!"

One of Laurel & Hardys finest films.A Chump at Oxford(1940)
One of their last joint collaborations with producer Hal Roach.

Peter Cushing had a small role in this one.

The film would have been inspired by "A Yank At Oxford", starring Robert Taylor, which was made a year or two earlier.

Reclaiming Amy.

Really glad I watched this revisiting of our local lass Ms Winehouse.

Quite sad in parts. Effectively, she was her own worst enemy and the parents weren't really to blame.

BBC2 at 9.25pm.Women of the Century would have been interesting for anyone interested in abstract & surreal art.
Paule Vézelay was recognised late in her life by the British Art Establishment, she would have had a interesting story to tell about the artists living in Paris between the wars..

Earlier on BBC2,Sport in the afternoon sharing the channel.Cricket from Old Trafford,no doubt a run fest from the Windies.Racing from Ascot with Julian Wilson(he always had is head slanted to one side on camera) & World Bowls ! No doubt David Bryant complete with a 38F41039-946A-462D-ADA2-FDFFEB01AEE3.jpeg5F2AAA66-A92C-4B55-BB23-4B1CDA2D4B4D.jpegpipe in his mouth as he was bowling.

11pm Misery(1990) followed at 1.20am Carrie(1976)

I don’t recall seeing the latter on TV before.A classic 1970s horror.

Watched a interesting two part documentary on PBS America last night about the 3D mapping of the USS Arizona.
1177 sailors went down with the ship on 7/12/41.

One of the survivors of that day gave his reminisces.
The programme was originally made in 20i6 for the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
