Opinions on Woody would have been very different if he left after one or two seasons rather than stay. The first impressions took a lot of people a long time to get over.

If Shrewsbury fans were looking on here for information on Ryan Bowman they would be getting a very mixed opinion and it's always the bad reviews that stand out. They're probably wondering why they have signed a CF "not good enough" for a L2 side according to many on here.

I hope that you're right Martin and Alex Hartridge and Matt Jay are fit. If that's the case I will be happy that we can start on Saturday with a good chance against a strong Bradford side. If those two don't make it and with Archie definitely out and Joel almost certainly gone, that would be 4 out of our outfield starting 10 missing. It then becomes a tough ask. I still think we will compete but for me it becomes more about hope than expectation.

I can’t even look at the line up and squad depth at the moment without feeling underwhelmed.

Squad depth is hugely lacking and our 11 is worst than last season.

Key and Randall to go leaves me feeling more apprehensive. I don’t think we’ll have the best of seasons.

If injuries start tallying up then I think it will be panic time. I’m usually so optimistic with what we have but this season feels a bit off to me.
