City join a fairly long list of teams who haven’t scored away to Lincoln. Not the end of the world, we move.
That may be so, but have many of those other teams failed to score in 17 other games this season?

Caldwell has really stuck it to the "it's specifically rubbish at home" crowd today. Silencing the moaners.

Sweeney lost us that game giving the ball away in the middle. Should then have been sent off. Overall terrible display by both teams. Toothless up front again.

Oh no .............. Gary "The Tinker" Caldwell - doesn't feel like a good omen !
Poor GC, only a few weeks ago he didn't have enough players. Now he's got too many!

He just can't catch a break.

Far away across the field
Another fantastic performance that’ll get you chomping at the bit to buy your season ticket for next season!
I'll buy one. I'm a City supporter.

Drove past the Macclesfield and Leek grounds just before kickoff.Quite tempted to stop off and watch the Macclesfield match, but didn't want to drive home in the dark.Sounds like Caldwell and his army of statisticians should take a trip up to those two lowly teams. He might pick up a few tips on how to win at home & score more goals than the opposition.

I was surprised how bad Lincoln were, given their league position. A good Exeter City team playing well would have won that game at a canter. But unfortunately we had neither.

City lined up 4 2 3 1 - no problem with that; I'm all in favour of what might be termed the Bowman formation. But the team contained Wildschut who is simply not good enough to start, a squad player at best. Why not Harper? And the 2 should have contained Reece Cole, but for some bizarre reason it didn't.

Then the players decided to have an off day. Far too any misplaced passes and a stupid defensive error leading to their goal. Niskanen once again manged to pass to nobody except a Lincoln player whenever he approached the "scoring zone".

On top of this the burden that Exeter City has a had to carry this season, that of not having a forward line, was all too apparent today. The man marking Sonny Cox won't have had an easier afternoon during his entire career. I maybe wrong, but I can't remember Mo Eisa touching he ball during his time on the pitch.

I haven't listened to GC yet, but he had a worrying period last season when he tried out strange and different formations that made little sense. That could be excused because he was new manager getting to find out what his players could and couldn't do. But there's absolutely no excuse for that sort of thing now. Stop dicking about and play a strong team, otherwise another slump beckons. Oh and the bleddy drum was too loud in that low roofed stand - could hardly hear myself think, let alone talk to people.

But I enjoyed old Lincoln. A bit like Exeter could have been if it hadn't been Baedeckered
