Precisely. Plus I actually think Stevenage will be a good outside bet for the playoffs next season. Revell seems to have got them moving in the right direction and if they can add a couple more good additions to go with Jake they could do well.

Hope he does well for them.

Quite. Jake was clear the only reason he was leaving for Exeter was so he could return home to Ascot. There would have been little point in doing that if he was then going to commute halfway across the country.

I expected him to stay in league 2, he's a decent player at this level.

Talk of him going to clubs like Oxford was crazy imho.

I reckon Matt Taylor offered him a lesser deal as well.

I would imagine his wife has played a big part in him leaving. They have very young children and she probably wanted to be closer to their family for support. Fair enough.

Stevenage - meh.

Good luck to him. Decent enough player, great servant to ecfc.
