120 patients in the RD&E with covid. Torbay even busier. Seems Exeter Nightingale might open as soon as tomorrow, provided that enough staff can be found.
That Nightingale problem has been flagged up for quite some time now. Apparently, you need 5 trained staff to operate a ventilator.

Xmas is going to be "a recipe for regret for many families" according to SAGE's Professor Andrew Hayward - the Daily Mail is calling him 'Scrooge'.

Bah Humbug ! The Ghosts of Christmas Yet to Come should put the Professor right.

Perish the thought we could have used the time over the summer to have had a call to arms to train people to use them, instead of just paying people to sit on the beach.

After all wasn't the "second wave" on all the March graphs?

Ah yes, the humble crofter himself.
The chief of Clan Gordon was always known as "The C*ck o' the North".

Wonder if Blackford is any relation?

Bigger picture RP - a rampant new 'wave' should distract quite nicely from other ongoing events.

Yours cynically.

That's some cynicism!

Did you see the dummy exercise on the M20 yesterday? Unlike Grayling, it seems Shapps really could organise a traffic jam!

Not really. Remember how ruthless they are - prepared to sell granny, according to their own supporters on here.

Yes, Folkestone wasn't it. Looking forward to the Dover dummy run.
