Paying £10 to get into a hospital would be a good thing.
Totally agree. But it would just never happen here. Too much of a backlash.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
One of the most preposterous buffoons in Parliament, which is saying something.
He is a horrible cnut. Some of the antics against Charles Kennedy in the constituency he won from him in 2015 were vile.
Kennedy had some personal issues which were brought up in the campaign. It really was beyond the pale.

Depends if it was part of a joined up strategy to increase primary healthcare and overhaul social care to keep people out of expensive hospitals unless they need specialist or emergency treatment.

If it was just seen as a "broken leg tax", then yes there would be

Paying £10 to get into a hospital would be a good thing. Refunded if you need treatment that could not have been obtained from a pharmacy or GP. No car park charges. Anyone over 60 or exempt.
Disagree.

One of the core principles of the NHS was that it should be free at the point of delivery.
IMHO that is still a good principle.

I have applied a wider perspective in thinking about Hancock and his performance. He is quite simply a very poor minister who is not up to the job. I also find so many of his comments sickly and cringeworthy. "Injecting hope into the arms of millions" really took the biscuit.

Boris was as bad yesterday with his cavalry on the horizon but not here yet bilge and "tis the season to be jolly but its also the season to be jolly careful" If he thinks he is Churchill he he seriously deluded.

Pass the sick bag please Alice.
So apart from his occasionally twee delivery, what does Hapless Hancock get relieved of his duties for?

Cheap shot but we pay out taxes in this country to have a functioning NHS. The Italians have a more optional approach, especially in Naples. I suspect Signor Hancock doesn't have much control over Neopolitan healthcare delivery.

Their airport systems for testing though are genuinely 'world beating'
Cold comfort for those Italians who were being treated and tragically dying in tents in the first wave RP.

Infections in the U.K. halve in a week when you compare last Tuesday’s figure with this Tuesday’s.

Far away across the field
120 patients in the RD&E with covid. Torbay even busier. Seems Exeter Nightingale might open as soon as tomorrow, provided that enough staff can be found.
