I am very confident that ECFC will have deal for room rates at most of the hotels in the city. LPR's (Local preferred rates) are common place in the hotel trade. Also, the Mercure Southgate run a sponsorship deal with ECFC. A sponsorship board and also a match ball sponsorship each season.

Wouldn't his aspirations after retirement come into play? If Tis could convince him that there was a future coaching role for him at ECFC would that not help in pursuading him to stay?
What I don't understand is if Harley wasn't prepared to move to a club willing to pay a fee, why didn't at that point we refuse to let clubs speak to him. He would have had to stay and as a result keep putting in performances until the end of the season to get a big move in the summer.
