Total nonsense. Lansdown stood down as Bristol City chairman at the end of last season. £800k for Liam Fontaine, who's not much better that Dan Seabourne would've been deal of the century for BCFC had the transfer gone through. And getting £5mill+ for Maynard when he has a year left on his...
Going back to the original post, did anyone see D*ck Forbes play for the Legends against Flybe in May? Okay, Merson and Le Tissier were still wonderful but DF was the best Legends player on display - and the oldest. Brilliant touch, crisp passer and looked the business to me.
Its part of Flybe's normal commercial fleet of aircraft and will therefore transport paying passengers around the UK and Europe. Today it's flying to Belfast and back, tomorrow probably the Channel Islands and Manchester from Exeter.
Flybe have previously named planes after George Best, Matt Le Tissier and Kevin Keegan, so Stanno will be in excellent company. A few examples here:

Summed it up well but disagree that Cureton was poor. I thought he ran his socks off, that his movement was (as usual) exemplary and he had to manfully deal with too many hoofs that he was never going to win in the air.
For me, Duffy was the MOM with Noble not far behind. And to win when...
Agree. And for the O'Flynn break that lead to the penalty, rather than play the ball quickly to Cureton (who had dragged the centre half wide to create space) he waited until O'Flynn could exploit the acres of space.
Noble is a quality act at this level and although he looks a little blase at...
Very good signing. Saw him a couple of times while he was at Barnsley. Fox in the box who is strong and will score. A lot of other League One clubs will wonder how we got him. Good work, Tis.
BBC reporting that Nigel Pearson is set to take over at Hull, so can someone with a little bit of time on their hands start a 'Tis to Leicester' thread. |-)

Totally right. Brizzle will hammer them in the second leg, so not really worth considering what impact it'll have, tbh.
I went last night (corporate freebie, natch) for the first time at Sandy Park. No singing, no proper ref abuse, minutes of endless finger-twiddling while penalties were lined...
Orient Scouting Mission
Long story but I ended up at St. Mary's in the posh seats and saw Orient take on Southampton yesterday. For what its worth, here's what I thought of them:
- Goalkeeper Jones was pretty solid. Actually didn't have a great deal to do other than pick the ball out of the...

I thought Duffy was excellent last night. He had to make the foul that lead to the yellow having been left horribly short and he put himself in the line of fire on two or three occasions.
In fact, the back three plus Edwards were all exceptional. With luck Scotty will slot straight in and the...
Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case (being offered it, that is). Would be surprised if he turned it down straight-off though.
Knowing the character of the man, surely he'd think about it? A team in the West, with a supportive (and rich) Chairman, building a new ground and a former club...
Sercombe and Dunne were too samey today and neither of them can tackle. Bertrand, c'est vrai, sticks his foot in where others don't. I think, in Burnell's absence, he was missed......
