After the unfortunate scenes that I and my family were caught up in last time, I thought the policcing was first class. Never felt threatened at all and the police were good humoured and polite.
That being said I did think some of the 'hired meatballs' were a little OTT and looking to provoke...
I must add that I am glad to hear that the Steward is making a full recovery, however, I am left a little confused to the accuracy of the story as it states the steward was 'hit by coins thrown from the Argyle End'...
Where on earth did they get coins from???? :-O
Not a massive over reaction at all. After being to a lot of Derby Games including the one you mentioned I and my family have never been subjected / or witnessed to/ so much hatred and violence. Just count yourself very lucky that you were not caught up in the Ugly Scences.
If Plymouth Argyle dont have / or wont fund the desired amount of funding for policing then who is at fault or is it the fact that the police do not have enough resources / manning - either way it needs sorting for next month.
Chris
I've always been the opposite. Always thought wearing your colours kept you out of trouble as it's not fans that generally get abuse.
Clearly not the case or did not apply down there last night Jay....
