All credit to the fact that he has bounced back from this and is trying his best to be a professional footballer, it cannot be easy but others have shown that it can be done.
Nevertheless, as far as a signing for Exeter City goes, it can hardly be heralded as a success. I am not sure the length...
2 poor teams and a game that offered little quality, especially in the first 60 minutes. This game is probably a reasonable snapshot of the season as a whole in terms of entertainment value.
Come the end of the season if we do stay up GC could probably argue that’s job done. However, and has...
Not in my opinion, we more benefited from a soft red card but then went on to brilliantly take advantage of the situation and play well to the conditions.
Ultimately football is an entertainment business, as is any sport. Stating the obvious I know but, in football, entertainment is usually most found from scoring goals. Yes, there is more to it than that but, the best part of any football game is when your team puts the ball in the back of the...
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I like Aimson. The problem he has is that GC made him captain, an absurd decision as he is clearly not captain material and put a target on his back unnecessarily. It was very poor management.
Aimson is the best passer of the ball in the Exeter defence and...
A fantastic first half performance, perhaps the only hyper critical point is that we could have put the game to bed. However, let’s not use that to distract away from a top notch performance. Second half they came at us, as they were bound to do. Resolute defending and a bit of luck was...
I am still of the view that at least 2 will come through the door before the window closes. As useless as Scott was, I can't believe that the club would have let him go if 2 strikers weren't guaranteed, and I use that word deliberately, to come through the door. Otherwise it would be scandalous...
Slightly off topic for this thread, but it will be interesting to see the take up of the ‘early bird’ season ticket offer will be compared to recent years. I will be surprised if the said take up is anywhere close to those numbers, which will naturally have a knock on effect for the clubs finances.
We will end up with a young striker in on loan (if we have not reached our loan limit that is) and a Scottish striker none of us have ever heard of, and who has a worse scoring record than Scott.
