Surely if King Matt just said “I’ve got a way out for you, a way to get out of ****ing Grimsby forever”, he’d sign immediately?
Te be fair, he's gone on record saying homw much he likes the area and now considers it home. He married to a local girl, got 3 kids at local schools and turned down a move to The Scottish Premiership before he signed his new 3 year contract saying that it would be too much of a wrench to leave.

IIRC the Grimsby lad is a bit suspect with direct shots or crosses but he's brilliant with chips. Plus he should team up well with Chad Gribble.

According to Devon Live, MT hoping to announce the signing of a keeper, if not two, by the end of next week. The second string could possibly be a keeper in on a season long loan.
One more interview to carry out, next week, for the goalkeeping coach position, before a decision is made.

Jack bonham who had starred at Brizzle on loan, now freed by Brentford, has signed for Gillingham in league one. Never a serious possibility for ECFC but it also means that rovers will be in the market for keepers more.
