Agree...6 weeks of the same bland statements & sound bites from Sunak & Starmer during interviews will send us all off to the Cartoon Network.
Six weeks of listening to the same clichés being trotted out. Totally unnecessary and should be illegal. In the gift of the PM it seems
Like Sunak now, Major played it long in 1997, to give Labour time to come apart under the pressure of a six-week campaign.

Most of the country, bar a few diehards in Tavistock, have probably already worked this out
A tad unfair there Art, I’ve been doubting Sunak’s credentials re. controlled borders for months.
Any remote chance the Tories had of getting my vote disappeared after his chat with Nick Robinson on R4 this morning.

I'm sure that your "stentorian Sir Geoffrey" will be sobbing his heart out in his luxurious beachside residence in the BVI at the threat of losing a precious endorsement. 😜
Still, for him his political career has only ever been a relatively unremunerative side hustle to top up his main income - defending tax dodgers.

Out of curiosity (although obviously tell me to sod off if you wish!) is your vote going to Reform or are you not going to vote for anyone?

I hope ‘Geoff’ wasn’t taking my vote for granted G2K as I’ve never been the type to blithely vote out of habit for the chap with the right coloured rosette.

A fair and decent reply there Tavs (y).
Although a self-confessed "self-loathing lefty" for all my voting life I would "self-identity" as Anything But A Tory!
I happened to finally find myself electorally in the "Soviet Socialist Republic of Isca" somewhat prior to the 97 election where my own mandate might finally count! Previously, living in both Honiton and later Teignbridge wards I actually held my nose and gave my tactical X to the Libs (but only for "ABAT" reasons).
Of course my endorsement of Mr Bradshaw was doubly ensured knowing he was up against that raging homophobe and bigot St Adrian of Rodgers.
Ben's support for the Grecians over those most turbulent of our club history - not least in "pulling strings" to get Super Santos into the country, to my mind vindicated my support.
Oh and btw before you accuse me of "blind tribalism" watching from afar I did actually regard Ben's predecessor as a fairly decent chap. Wouldn't have voted for him but still a fairly sound local representative.

No idea.
The policy will never be tested. You think I’m voting Reform because I think they’ll win? 🤣

Going back to the Venal Vennells almost painful to see how Mr Beer KC slowly and forensically twisted the knife this afternoon. (y)
Still at least St Paula the Amnesiac managed not to do her impression of a Weeping angel today.
I presume that the legal teams of her unfortunate victims get their turn tomorrow? Then watch the greedy, grabbing crocodile fill the room with her tears.
Popcorn time.
