A day in front of the TV, Switching from BBC to ITV depending on what FA Cup special show was on, Loved FA Cup Final day back then.
I was the same..
LWT always had a programme late the evening before with a few Pro’s looking at the game the next day. I remember watching one of those with my dad pre Leeds v Sunderland, with my dad saying..”Well they get that all wrong last night” After the final whistle on the Saturday 😁

But always prefered to watch the actual game on the BBC, Still do when it comes to FA Cup, WC, Euros.

Comfortably mid-table
Think at that time Tiswas was purely regional for Midland TV (ATV) It got popular so they decided to network it later in the 70's, Maybe to compete with Swap Shop on the BBC, Much prefered Tiswas, The Phantom Flan Flinger, Sally James etc.
Re the Phantom Flan Flinger.

I had a mate who would look at you enigmatically apropos of nothing and ask "What is a phantom flan? We need to know"

Isn't he on Plebs and Friday Night Dinner?
Apparently so, though I've never really watched either. Enjoyed his dad on The Big Match though!

Just finished the final seven episodes of Ozark(Netflix)..That was a well written series(4 seasons in all)
I thought the last season did not hit the heights of the previous three, but was very good nether the less.
Ruth Langmore was a great badass character from
a ‘trailer trash’ dis-functional family, finely portrayed by Julia Garner.
A few weird sub plots, not least Darlene who was a late 60’s psychopathic ‘black widow’ seducing Ruth’s cousin Wyatt who was 18....Ruth said when they were cuddled up, with a look of shock “Are you like boyfriend & girlfriend”

Money laundering, Mexican drug cartels, dodgy politicians...It had it all, all revolving around a seemingly normal family, Marty & Wendy Byrd’s from Chicago who moved to Ozark, Missouri

Loving the boy Stanno
I thought the last series was brilliant Olds, I binged the last seven over the bank holiday weekend. Even the last 10 minutes was gripping - the scene with Navarro’s sister, Claire and the Byrds at the casino event was stressful!

5th May 1976.

The European Cup Winners Cup is Live on BBC1, a good one it was too. Two sides who played attractive football. West Ham’s team had 11 English players in the line up, Anderlecht had 7 Belgians & 4 Dutch players in their 11 inc Arie Hann & Rob Rensenbrink who were part of that wonderful Holland team of the 1970s.
The viewers had a treat as expected, Anderlecht winning 4-2, scoring twice in the last 15 mins.
Just one of many great European Finals in the 1970s.
