In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
World on Fire(BBC1 Sunday at 2100)
A slow burning drama based around the outbreak of WW2.
Sean Bean is excellent in the role of a pacifist.

The Bomb Disposal Men..A BBC documentary from 1974 on the iplayer.

Follows the training & deployment to Northern Ireland of Royal Army Ordnance Corps of men selected in bomb defusing.

They certainly had a lot of work in those days.

Did you ever watch "Danger UXB" many years ago? Anthony Andrews was the young bomb disposal officer with Maurice Roeves as his sergeant.

There were some good dramas set in WW2 during the 1970s..Danger UXB,Colditz,The Pathfinders & Secret Army.
Colditz was excellent lots of the episodes were loosely based on real events.

Just seen the last episode. Slow burning but leaving on a cliff hanger. Strong acting throughout. Looking forward to the next series.

The Foreman Went To France.
Ealing Studios 1942 WW2 propaganda warning about British management, Axis fifth columnists, treatment of refugees, and promoting the then new UK-US war coalition
