The Bridge Inn….on a good day.
You and me both. #1968
Same for me .....first game 1968. Watching City over all those years continues to be massively frustrating.....particularly for me when we lose games against weak opposition and seem to lack ideas on how to break them down. Harrogate was just another in a long long line of where expectations going into the game are high and the resulting performance is poor against a team we should and need to beat.
We certainly won’t get promoted this season unless we tighten up at the back and gain a level of consistency of performance. At present, play offs are the best we can hope for.

Such pessimism! I'm not dampening my expectations - I really believe that this season we can avoid the drop.

A K A the not getting carried away thread.

I think that's there a danger of this team which is full of youngsters being compared to some of the greatest ever Exeter City teams of '77 and 1990. And consequently there being severe disappointment and backlash if we don't reach those dizzy heights.

Let's take the pressure off the players and enjoy the rest of the season and don't get on the players and managers back if we're not scoring five goals or winning every game.
I think those teams have only been compared in terms of the excitement factor. Now if we actually win the league we can quite rightly compare those teams in full but until then, it's just exciting football, some of the best we've seen. Means nowt until the end of the season.

Maybe the 10 day break comes at the right time, not least for us to get some defenders fit.
It's not their fitness that is the problem, the clue is in the job title and it just ain't happening

MT said he’s trying to arrange a friendly for the weekend which is the correct thing to do for maintaining fitness levels.
