He’s not a runner though. Plenty of examples of players who move cleverly, not quickly.
Jamie Cureton once said he got caught offside all the time, but he didn't care as long as he got one opportunity, he rarely missed sitters or if he had a head start.

That's fair enough, but an awful lot of pro football now is based around pressing the opposition from the front.

Stansfield is such a good example of a player with great energy, Nombe too.
Pressing isn't about being quick, it's about being smart, cutting angles off and funnelling the opposition into areas you want. The 4-0 beating of the Gargs was a great example of pressing intelligently. We had Bowman, Lee Martin and Nicky Law in the forward areas that day, none of them especially known for pace.

I’d back Sonny over Stanno with finishing though

Even Tony Kellow wasn't exactly a paragon of "greased lightning" but he didn't have too shabby a career either ! ;)
Kellow was one of those players that was very useful of the shortest of distances, that last half a yard before placing a shot. 'Kin lethal!

Looks like this loan is doing exactly what its supposed to. Looking at the stats he didn't start off by scoring lots, but given more game time he has grown in confidence and understanding, so when he does come back he will be a better player.

Didn’t do Hartridge any harm either. Maybe we should consider sending more there
