Yes there was a effort to raise the fee. It was a bargain really. Lucky to have a striker of that class on loan for the season to a struggling 4th Tier team.
Wasn't it the catalyst for the formation of the Trust ? "From small acorns etc" ! :)

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Anyway, back to our game tomorrow evening.
I’m currently at my base camp, which is within striking distance of Shrewsbury.
I’m hopeful (for me) of a decent result.
But if not, I’ll probably still enjoy it.
Strange, I know.
Keep us informed with any culinary delights too 😁😎

There's a lidl by the ground. You can pop in there if you need anything.

October 1999. No Roberts. Shrews 1 City 4.

City scorers Shayne Bradley, Jon Richardson & Gary Alexander x2
Oh what we would give to have Gary Alexander back leading the line. Or a Christian Roberts out wide for that matter!

Anxious about tonight - think they'll make it a right battle of a game, which we always struggle in. Wouldn't be surprised if there's only one goal in it. But I'm going to go with my heart over my head.

1-2 City. Dominant away performance with a home goal chucked in because we never do anything the easy way. Cox and Eisa to get the goals.

Think we've finally opened the goalscoring floodgates, even after the newborn Cox had gone off on saturday I looked at our forwards featuring Eisa and Alli and thought, these boys are different gravy there are goals here. Hate to be a happy clapper but I'm quite excited about the future with City. :D

Shrewsbury 0, Exeter 3.

I thank you!

Like cash back to enable you to get into the ground, what a farce.
