Not a great surprise if Labour lose this one. They certainly have to up their game
So are you piling in on the Tories at odds on ?

I am tempted have £50 on Labour at those odds in a constituency the Tories have never won since it was created in 1974.

No deflection from me but your question to me is a classic deflection.

This is about how Sir K handled a belligerent member of the public and I am with AU's analysis on that.

Let us see how Pubgate turns out over the next few days.
Well. We differ in our opinions again. The principle is the same : how do you deal with someone who confronts you angrily publicly face to face. The cause of the anger is irrelevant; the fact that SKS was a lawyer is irrelevant. The scenario wasn't a court house. In effect Starmer was just a member of the public

Both sets of odds are rubbish tbh.

As you are aware, my betting prowess leaves a lot to be desired.
To be honest, I haven't got a clue : life is becoming so full of surprises..The bookies can't be wrong, can they?

Would you sooner back the Tories at 8/13 best odds? I wouldn't.

Comfortably mid-table

A difficult situation to deal with for sure.
Not conducive to a nuanced conversation.

I wish Kier hadn't used the 'I don't need lectures' line though.

I dislike it when any politician says that because it's in their armoury with 'we will learn lessons from this' and 'we are listening to the people'.
Platitudes intrinsically at odds with each other.

Anyone who has seen a few episodes of 'The Thick Of It' will recognise the minefield.

Kier's best bet now is to leave it at his response to the BBC reporter afterwards and not respond to any media trolling.
The media has shown it can play out a bacon sarnie for months and a 'donkey jacket' for decades so Starmer might just as well let the memes and point scoring wash away with the tide.
