Right old panic going on at the bottom of L1. Wimbledon last week, Rovers and Northampton this.

I wonder if we had turned up at Wembley, won the game but were now 22nd in L1 whether KMT would be under pressure? Funny old game.
Doubt it. We were no worse than Crewe, who play a similar sort of style, and they're 10th.

Northampton lost their best players, including their excellent centre-back Goode, and have got found out with their hoofball in a league with better footballers.

To be fair,Keith curle comes across as no nonsense manager compared to Tisdale who seemed to over complicate everything, who knows how it will pan out,but a bit like big Sam they need someone who will win games and worry about how afterwarcs, not the other way around
Yep.

How’s it going for ‘big Sam’ at West Brom?

Once again PT is 'sharing the pain all the way to the bank' of genuine supporters of a club that has to closely manage it's finances . Even amongst his most die hard of his supporters there can now be little doubt that PT is the soccer epitome of self-delusion. I have friends who are lifelong 'Gas' supporters and to a man they consider him to be arrogant and egotistical. As to the acrimonious manner of his departure from ECFC , a club that had enabled PT to establish his league managerial career over some twelve years , and the public comments he made on his return to the park in January 2019 with MK Dons ..both speak volumes as to his true character. David Wheeler, who was very warmly welcomed in the St James Centre post match , very much gave the impression that he was somewhat embarrassed by the latter . Matt Taylor , on the other hand , is a true sportsman. Matt's very evident ' breath of fresh air' has SO changed the atmosphere at the club , on the field of play and in the ground amongst supporters. Matt is a true sportsman and it shows in his manner and interviews. Long may it continue. I recognise that ECFC will never aspire to the higher echelons . I do however eagerly follow the careers of those who develop their talents and move on to have successful careers both on and off the field. However ...for me (an attendee at SJP since 1951) .. none of those who 'nailed their colours to PT's mast' in 2018 should ever be permitted to return and bring their evident acrimony with them.

Disbelief...
Still waiting to find out what it was that Paul Tisdale put his career on hold for 'six or seven years' at our ungrateful little club. Unless it the opportunity for more pay-offs?

His epitaph: he used to make the play-offs, now he only makes the pay-offs

The laugh is they keep being taken in and paying out.Bet there’s some other mug club limbering up and getting ready to take him on. If not there’s always the TV companies ready to receive his gems of wisdom.

I agree the TV companies will be falling over themselves, but I'm not sure there will be too many EFL clubs currently that would want take a gamble on a manager who has been sacked twice in the last 18 months and who will demand an above-average salary. The Rovers debacle has certainly taken some of the polish off his CV.

Obviously you've never seen Taylor on a cricket field then.

Lest we forget, he had a roller at MK so would still of been on the payroll (possibly until staring at Bristol Rovers as severences are often caveated to reduce or cease on commencement of a new role), and he'll still get a further 2yrs and 3 months wages from Bristol Rovers.......so he's certainly ok for cash!. Football management, one of the only jobs you can get the sack for being rubbish and walk away with heap of cash. In most jobs, performance management would kick in.....

There are plenty of managers who are crap, get the sack, and still find another management job.......plenty of journeymen managers who can walk the walk.....He'll pop up somewhere....
