Gloom and doom again but other results tonight and a quick look at the table shows play offs still well within reach.
..........and when we're run out of games ?

Those last 6 games include FGR away, Newport home and Bolton away. Southend this Saturday are fighting for their lives and although we have beaten Grimsby away they have upset our apple cart at SJP a few times in recent seasons.

knowing City though we will probably beat FGR and Bolton and balance things up by losing to Newport and dropping points against Southend, Grimsby and Barrow.

It does, the league table seems to shine eternal hope on our season.

There must be a lot of top half misfiring clubs thinking the same thing.

Correct.

The top 3 are 10 points each from the last 5 games. Auto form

As for the rest:

Morecambe 7/15
Tranny 3/15
Newport 4/15
FGR 1/15
ECFC 7/15
Carlisle 11/15 after a prior horror run
Salford 7/15
Leyton Orient 8/15
Bradford 10/15

Which is why I started this thread

City drew the first game of the season on Sept 12th against Salford and were 8th in the first league table (probs to do with alphabetical order more than anything) and here we are in April, still 8th and City have been 8th more weeks than any other position. So I'm guessing that we will end the season ... 12th :)

It's almost like nobody actually wants to go up!

Apart from the top three nobody seems able to close it out. Very odd but shows there is little between many of the inconsistent outfits (which is most of them) in L2.

Just shows how , stating the blinking obvious , just a little bit of consistency at the end of the season will probably clinch it now for those top teams. It worked wonders in last year‘s ( admittedly truncated ) season for our ‘friends’ down the road , unfortunately at our expense. That’s what is so frustrating about this latest falling back , auto promotion was there for the taking as there don’t appear to be any outstanding teams.
