A broken bone should fully heal within 6 weeks. Its not like ligaments or tendons which then requires physios and easing back in, its just no longer broken and he'll go back to full activity 6 weeks from now. Hell be fit to play again mid November at the latest.

That sounds a lot better from the other comments.

It's a blow as he is a quality signing. His kicking has been particularly impressive. Maxted is no slouch between the sticks though, and this is a perfect opportunity for him to become the first choice keeper and make it impossible for MT to pick Ward when he's back fit.

Put it this way, any athlete would rather break a a bone than damage a ligament

By a curious coincidence Spurs keeper also dislocated an elbow this weekend.
Not a good Saturday for "glovesmen" - unless you are in the business of selling single ones.

In the autumn of 1989 "Farmer Walters" lost his place (albeit through different circumstances)
His replacement was a certain Kevin Miller!
The rest (for both club and player) became history!!

Dave Walter's replacement was going to be Richard Smeath who was our No2 keeper having come up from the youth team, but he was injured in training (split the webbing in his hand I think) a day or so before the first game Dave was suspended for. Big Kev was on trial at the time and signed non contract terms to cover. Result - Kev signs from Newquay, Smeath ended up at Dawlish Town. Thems the breaks.

Now safely converted to HF68
Sad news hopefully he makes a full recovery which is the most important thing - he has looked very good so far - best wishes Lewis

Comfortably mid-table
There's a danger if goes to hospital they'll deliver him straight to Ward 1.
