Depending when the other divisional play- off are they probably want all domestic competitions done and dusted before the Euros which start in early June i guess. The EFL seem to be rushing through the L1 play offs
I guess it gives them more time to shift the Wembley tickets ?

League One Play-Off Final
Especially if the POFs could be subject to postponement due to international call upsDepending when the other divisional play- off are they probably want all domestic competitions done and dusted before the Euros which start in early June i guess.
Isn't that just the usual formula, except that the final is on the Saturday rather than the Sunday or a Bank Holiday Monday ? Play offs start the weekend after the season finishes. And there is a 10 day gap between the last play off semi and the final? Three weeks for three games doesn't seem that hasty- it is 21 days from last league game (27 April) to play-off final compared to 22 and 23 days for the two play off finals we had in the years just before Covid. The EFL seem to be rushing through the L1 play offs
I guess it gives them more time to shift the Wembley tickets ?

League One Play-Off Final
League 1 and League 2 are a whole weekend before the bank holidayIsn't that just the usual formula, except that the final is on the Saturday rather than the Sunday or a Bank Holiday Monday ?
Yes, but it's not the play offs that have been rushed (as was claimed in post 1725) , it's the league season, finishing in April and not May. The decision about the play off dates has been coming ever since the announcement of the league 1 and league 2 season ending a week earlier than the Championship.League 1 and League 2 are a whole weekend before the bank holiday
Thanks to UEFA who host the CL Final at Wembley June 1st , refusing to let the EFL use Wembley on Holiday Monday the 27th (They need 6 days to brand the stadium)
