A GK who goes out on loan almost wants to go to a struggling side as they will develop much quicker, get more chances to shine, and get the exposure / experience that they are on loan for. He doesn't really give a stuff if they lose 6-0 as long as he's doing ok. Nobody at City or elsewhere will give him a new contract on the strength of Barnstaple's results but on the strength of his performances
