My preference would be to play Atangana instead of Taylor but tbf JT has been excellent in recent weeks and is a great captain. I prefer Nige in with Collins as it frees him a bit more but the set up we have is working.

I still can't believe I look at the side, out best formation and struggle to work out where to fit Law, my favourite City player!
We are lucky to have a last a squad rather than a team- that will be important with so many games coming up and the beauty is MT can seamlessly chop and change without weakening the side. Everyone knows their role, the spirit must be high within the camp and we look like the real deal.Good times.

To be fair, he had quite a lot of experience of 'interviews' in relation to his tenure at Boston United, suspect his conviction and suspended sentence taught him to pick his words well.

Good result for you today. Hope you manage to get a decent draw, at home to a PL side and the associated TV money.
That's not a good draw this season. A good draw is one where we can progress further into the competition. There is no gate money to be gained so, in terms of finance, prize money is the only option.
Personally I don't buy into your notion that a good draw is home to a PL side with the cameras. The FA Cup is all about glory and there is no glory about a pound sign and the probable ar$e kicking. It could be argued this season at home we could take somebody all the way to spot kicks and then who knows from there but I'd sooner we were at home to Havant and Waterlooville and get in the fourth round at the end of January than spanked by Spurs and out.

Disagree. At home to a Premier League club is the best draw. Likely to get full amount of TV money and some crowds are likely to get in. Maximum exposure for the club. Plus, given that Liverpool were fortunate to escape SJP with a draw who says we can't win it?

I hope that fans who weren't there eventually get to see better and longer highlights than this. The first goal for example was a superb flowing move of IIRC 8 rapid precision passes before reaching Nicky Law. Also , especially for TPC who missed the game, Archie Collins had a really good game (I'll post a longer comment on an Archie Collins thread)

But the likely reality is out by the end of the day. It doesn't matter who we play in current circumstances at home, we'll still sell out at home be it non league or Premier League. Get through another round or two and then hit the jackpot. Who knows what state the country might be in by then. We might be able to put a few more inside the ground. Nobody remembers who got knocked out in the third round but they remember who went on a decent run....... ask The Cowley Brothers.

Whoever said the ref had a good game must be having a laugh. Crossed with his assistant 3 times (once is bad enough). Didn’t give a yellow for the foul on bowman but then did give one to Nigel for an innocuous high foot that was waist high. Also penalised a foul by bowman for a challenge in the air where he didn’t make much contact with their defender and then 30 seconds later ignored/didn’t see Hartridge be elbowed in the face. Finally allowed McArdle to lie prone in our 6 yard box with a head injury so both their strikers were onside. All of this was in the first half!!

Don’t want to be pedantic about the ref. We were very good going forward yesterday and fully justifying the £10 a game!

Never done this before
Some photos from Gillingham's side of things. Only posted for one of the pics. Can you guess which one?

Yep :)

Looks like McWomble's been on the Buckie again.

This was a great win for City. It is really encouraging to see us fight back from a losing position once again and that must do wonders for the team's confidence : I'm sure the spirit, energy and ambition of the Academy alumni plays a big part in this
We all.hoped at the beginning of the season that the academy lads could step up to the plate and they most certainly have : the only fear is that they will get nicked for peanuts by the bigger clubs.
We've got a very good squad now, so whatever happens this season the experience gained by Randall, Key, Hartridge et el will count for a lot.
Dead chuffed about all of this

Its not an Ampadu situation though, they are actually on pro contracts. We would get a decent wedge in summer if they are to leave. I can't see us selling in Jan this time round, I'm sure MT will be pushing for that.
