Paul Eddington was excellent as the vicar in "Murder at the Vicarage", supporting Joan Hickson's Miss Marple.

Hickson the definitive Marple for me. Peerless. That BBC series had one of the iconic title sequences/themes for me as well.

Please Sir a LWT produced Sitcom between 1968-72 on at prime time & networked.
4 series(55 episodes)featuring John Alderton, Joan Sanderson & Deryck Guyler,Glynn Edwards,Richard Davis..Sanderson & Davis memorably played characters in Fawlty Towers. Sanderson as Mrs Richards in “Communication Problems” Davis as Mr White the Welshman in “The Kipper & The Corpse”
The most amusing character was Frankie Abbott(David Barry) the self styled ‘hard nut’ As ‘hard as a marshmallow’ His mum played by Barbara Mitchell who’s line to Frankie was .”Mummy’s little soldier” 😁

The Fall A crime drama set in Northern Ireland. Giving it a binge watch, saw it originally on BBC2 a few years ago..3 series(17 episodes)

One of the more better & interesting home produced(with RTE) crime dramas.
John Lynch who plays a PSNI Chief looks a dead ringer for Eric Cantona.

A must watch for me in the 70s. Whispering Bob Harris by far the best presenter.
