I think you may be right.

I actually got hold of one of these, not an easy task to get a shirt from Exeter to Tresfjord, Norway, back then! I used it for goalkeeping and was called silly for not wearing the usual 🤢 goalkeeper's jersey!

They are pretty rare I would imagine.
It would be great if a reproduction was done of this era.1977-80.

I only recall two of the four lads at the front: Dick Forbes and Roy Ireland. The other two I had to look up (Paul Smythe and Colin Bickley) but don't remember at all.

You always feel sorry for those lads who feature in the squad photo but don't make it as pros (used to be apprentices, YTS, and nowadays academy etc).

Kind of ties in with my favourite kit in my time of watching City.

I often wonder what the reaction would be if we had a similar kit as our home kit. As you have shown, there is a precedent.

Top 100 goal scorers with their present clubs at the start of the 1979/80 season.
I knew Fred Binney had a great strike record. What great company he kept.
Those names were recognisable to all of us who remember that era & studied the results in the Sunday papers.
