On a Christmas theme can you still get cheese footballs?

I always found them pretty revolting.

I saw them in the supermarket today. They're one of those things that i'd eat and not be able to decide if they were quite nice or disgusting. I certainly wouldn't buy them now though.

Yeah they apear to have gone solo whereas they were always he less bland choice in a classic Jacobs cheese biscuit selection box. Not very good and yet somehow the selection is cheapened without them, bit like The Beatles without Ringo Starr. Favourite now must be the thinnish one with ther crinkly edge which has a bit of onion flavour about it.

Don't come across the cheese on cocktail sticks with a lump of pineapple stuck on top either, always the bastion of a well set out table of festive nibbles.

Thinking further on the subject I think I now look on the buffet table as being a bit like Barcelona without Puyol, still good, excellant in fact, but you've lost that reliable staple that you could always return to when a bit of stability is required before venturing back into creative browsing.

Usually taped over some rubbish that the other half had recorded...Or the end of a film was not taped because the tape had run out..🙄View attachment 4610
Or got snarled up inside the video recorder. The times I tried to flatten out a twisted up tape were legion. Then when it played that bit the recording at that point was full of noise. It all seems like a bad dream now.

I won't tell you how it ends.
