Yep..Had one myself for work.Not sure if mentioned before but personal pagers, A while back I seem to remember all management had them plus people who worked in the field, I guess the mobile took over from them.
Think you're right Olds, Still the best way for Doctors/Nurses to be contacted when in hospital, Plus a lot of places in them where you can't use a mobile.Yep..Had one myself for work.
Quite handy if you wanted to slip off somewhere in those pre mobile days.
I believe they are still used in the NHS.

I can still remember the staff from those two shops..Especially the ‘hippie chick’ in the Left Bank.
