Pitts in High St & The Left Bank in Paris St...Those were the days
I can still remember the staff from those two shops..Especially the ‘hippie chick’ in the Left Bank.

Not sure if mentioned before but personal pagers, A while back I seem to remember all management had them plus people who worked in the field, I guess the mobile took over from them.

Yep..Had one myself for work.
Quite handy if you wanted to slip off somewhere in those pre mobile days.

I believe they are still used in the NHS.

Think you're right Olds, Still the best way for Doctors/Nurses to be contacted when in hospital, Plus a lot of places in them where you can't use a mobile.

Pitts was brilliant , Remember going there for tickets to the Police gig only to find them sat there signing autographs.

Indeed...In the basement, down a flight of narrow stairs.
Remember it was just the record sleeves in the plastic cover & the assistants got the vinyl from behind the shop counter when you passed them the sleeve.
Bought most of my vinyl down there rather than HMV in the Guildhall.
