Re: The Conference thread

Thought some of you may be interested in seeing our Goal Of The Season Competition now it's available as Freeview.

It could easily have been called the Alan Connell show though.

No more for Leigh Genesis, the reincarnation of Leigh RMI (I think)

Re: The Conference thread

When is the conference AGM? Seems they're getting some practice in already.

Why deduct the points ?...The season is over & any crucial placings were unaffected.

Several clubs are unhappy that Wrexham sailed close to the wind & payed HMRC off at the last moment AFTER they were guaranteed a play off spot.

Some good strikes....Hanging on to him for all of the next season will be crucial...I see Rob Duffy has been released...I was surprised to see that The Mariners payed a fee for him!

One of a number of poor signing by Neil Woods. Another player we signed from Kettering early this year on a 3 year contract, winger Serge Makofo, has also been told he can leave too.

We have also just paid up the remaining year of striker Charles Ademeno who we signed from Crawley at the beginning of the season. It's a shame he never fulfilled his potential here but he was injured for most of last season and only played about 10 games. The times was he was fit though he seemed to be a decent player and it coincided with us beating Mansfield and Histon 7-2 at home and 6-1 away respectively.

Connell has gone on record saying that he wants to play at a higher level but also said that he is happy here and will be more than willing to stay if there are no offers or a deal can't be agreed. So far, it's no news is good news but there's plenty of time for that to change.

Stockport look in poor shape at the moment & the Conference Board must be worried of another Chester like senario happening next season. With all of the aggravation that brings...

That Connell does seem a good player, two footed and an eye far goal. Given loads of room for many of those goals and conference goalkeepers not all that but wouldn't mind seeing him at City.

You'd be happy to sign a Torquay reject then? ;)
