Bummer!!

We looked the real deal for only the first 20 minutes. Bournemouth outplayed us for the rest of the game.

Still only 3 points off automatic so no despair just yet.

Roll on Saturday[ecfc]

Gills got a late goal to win, but all the other teams slipped up, its all still to play for....even if we do lose on Saturday, we are still in with a shout ;)

We started really brightly, and deservedly got the lead, and were dominating the game at that point.

Once we scored however, they came at us guns blazing. Edwards made a right mess of a simple clearance, and from them on, they took control of the game, and never let go.

We badly missed Manny tonight, no strength and bite in midfield, and nobody driving us forward. Bit confused why Cozic didn't come on for the last 30 mins or so. Seemed we severely needed a tough, "up and at 'em", man in the middle, and given we didn't have Manny, Cozic would have been the ideal replacement.

Macca never got going, but that wasn't really surprising, the midfield was nowhere to be seen to tee him up. Why no Logie ?

Jones had his worst game for sometime, but given how he's kept us in the hunt for most of the season, it'd be unfair to be unduly harsh on him. Not a good day at the office though.

Utterly pedestrian - 5 men in midfield and not one of them capable of creating anything..

Couldn't see where a goal was comimng from...

Someone commented a few weeks back that all pretty triangles seem to achieve is to give opponents time to get ten men behind the ball..

We need desperately some quick, sharp pass and move into dangerous places which needs people to make imaginative runs into space. Don't they practise this at training? If so there was precious little evidence of it during the 90 minutes we've just endured

My Thoughts:

1. Saunders was very, very poor. He continued his annoying habit of playing far too deep when we have the ball, therfore we have no attacking outlet on te right unless Stanno pulls out of postition. Even when Saunders had the ball, he lacked any confidence.

2. Russell was poor, didn't have the same impact as Manny does.

3. Where's Richard Logan? Really could of done with him as a option at 2-1 down tonight rather than a centre back

4. Matt Gill was excellent, looked well up for it from 1st to last whistle

5. Bournmouth were excellent in the 2nd half and will stay up comfortably on that form and for me were good money for the win, however, we gifted them all 3 goals.

6. Our destiny is still in our own hands, we remain in the playoffs with a game in hand on Shrews

apart from the midfield going missing (which they were) what happened to the 12th man tonite? i thought the support from the bb was appalling and come the end it was only half full. We expect it from the stands but not the bank.At this time in the season City needs everyone to play there part fans including

Its a two way thing, sometimes the fans lift the players other times the players must lift the fans....tonight the players needed to lift the fans and they played poor.

True enough. It's difficult to cheer if there is nothing to cheer about.

If i had to agree with you we would both be wrong
Didnt like the result but at the end of the day that's football first 30mins we looked very good but after that we seem to sit back a bit too much , did have a little flurry a couple of times second half but nothing quite connected
Troy looked off the pace but Gill seemed to have some attempts going forward
One good thing from tonight was the ballgirl on the Doble side when the Bournemouth player tried to slow things down and she chucked the ball at him PMSL, dont think he liked that very much
