The Red Lion, Avebury. Still astonishingly dreadful.
Why go then Stroudy ? Seems puzzling.

Just interested like.

Well I happened to be visiting the henge with a bit of a thirst on and it had just started raining. And as Postie says, it has no competition.

I now appreciate your faute de mieux decision on this particular issue.

Never does, and certainly not within a Scheduled Monument.

It does work after a fashion but not always perfectly.

If 'not always perfectly' means the destruction of 80,000 acres of rainforest daily and an ocean full of plastic, then fair comment, but I digress.

The Ale House, Stroud, last Wednesday for what promised to be a splendid evening celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of Bob Dylan's 'John Welsey Harding', but which was ruined by the grumpy landlord bullying his teenage staff.

Who would live in a house like this?
The Coach and Horses, Horns Cross. There is room to turn around inside this pub. Just. Like being in someone’s living room. With beer on tap.

The Savoy, Swindon.

Spoon's Empire State Burger and 3 x latte's

2,012 calories means I'll be giving that a miss in future.

The Messenger, Swindon. Arrived in time to hear the rapturous cheering from patrons as Russia did a job on Spain in the penalty shootout.
