Don't think so.
Agreed. I reckon any signings, if they happen at all, will be announced on Tuesday. Just hoping they’re more exciting than another Robbie Willmott!

Frantically checking Newports squad for loan signings.

Apart from being close to a couple;) I’m not really expecting anyone else in this window.

Well, all in all a good squad assembled I think. Nombe and Dawson count as "marquee" signings in my book and maybe the lad from Bournemouth too, so in that respect I think we've got what we were promised. Brown has so far been excellent as has Ray and Amond is another quality addition.
We've lost Randall but kept hold of Key and MJ, meaning with the new additions, IMO we look stronger in attack and will be a team no defence is looking forward to playing against. The excellent assured start Hartridge has made and easy partnership he's formed with Ray gives as a very solid CB pairing. In midfield Dieng looks very good to me, with Archie to come back, the emergence of kite and the new lad Taylor, we also look like we may also be well sorted there.
Plenty of strength on the bench too, with a few players we've yet to see.
All in all i'm pretty happy with this summers business.

Glad the transfer window has closed, Hopefully this squad will take us where we all want to be, The doom and gloom of late pre season and lack of signings has now turned into quiet optimism? All those new signings wear the City colours and we as fans should get behind them 100%. It is now up to all the players to perform and MT to get his tactics right, We'll have ups and downs no question but if they all perform I expect more ups than downs. To me the season can really kick on now the windows shut, Of course if any players really shine then January could be a real pain, Its a difficult one, I want us to do well but if we do the "Vultures" come circling and pick off the best players, As usual for a L2 club it's a catch 22 situation. So to all the new players who've come in from June/July/August, Welcome to the club, The fans will love you, Do your best and remember you're playing for a great club. To the fans, It won't be a ref's decision, Injuries etc if we don't do well, Don't worry about other clubs spending or form etc, It'll be down to us over the 46 games, That is the only thing we can control. UTC and let's really go for it! 👍👍👍

I'm pretty pleased with this window and the deals done. Taylor has shown a lot of resilience with the market and disappointment in not getting the players he initially wanted, but all in all he has held out for the type of players he wants and shifted some of those that haven't lived up to expectation or wanted away, and for that deserves some credit, he now has to live or die (hypothetically speaking) by this squad for the next three months. There's only one name within the squad I don't really want to hear in the staring eleven, but enough has been said about him and his level already this season.

With the squad as it is and once it gels, I think we shall witness some fast flowing attacking football, and I am quite excited for the season ahead. The window has been long and has witnessed several moments of angst on exeweb with everyone having their own opinions but now we can move forward and drink it all in, with the benefit of a bright spanky new Scoreboard to help enhance our viewing pleasure.

This looks so much better than we feared a month or so ago. We now have a decent squad. I'd have liked an experienced specialist left back, but you can't have everything.

Better than many feared but there were some sensible posters who said we should wait until the end of the window before judging the state of our squad. And, to be fair to Matt Taylor, he said all along he thought some decent players would become available after the season started. Hopefully, Amond, Taylor and Edwards will go on to prove they were worth waiting for.
