I would have thought dangerous play would suit the crime better than violent conduct.Looking at the tackle on the telly I’m assuming it was a straight red and not a second yellow, and also that it was for violent conduct. If that’s correct then a three match ban would appear the standard punishment.
Having built back up to full match fitness, ordinarily a three match ban could be a bit of a setback. However with the Ipswich match, followed by the two Prem U23 Cup games in which presumably he could feature as a permitted overage player, one hopes that his fitness can be maintained.
