Just put the money in the bank and see where we are in a few months time.
I concur. We at least need more certainty about when crowds will return and in what numbers before getting the cheque book out.

I know there are many variables, but what would it roughly make if invested?

I pretty much agree, need a centre back though.

Invested without risk...I’m no expert but guess it would be a tidy sum.

Interest rates are shocking, on 3 million you would struggle to get 50k, I'm not against this approach however anyone expecting a good return is going to be very disappointed.

If you want more you need to take risks.

I understand that for the last few years we have had a constant playing budget albeit that we have been losing a few £100,000 a year. I would maintain the playing budget, invest in the training facilities and depending on cost invest in a SJP pitch that would enable the women's team to play at SJP.

In a meeting somewhere, some place...
I expect a lot of ground owning clubs will be looking to sell them off in the coming year, property developers and fly by night fraudsters will be all over it. Can't see any benefit in buying the ground personally.
my thoughts on the ground were this - we only have a 25 year lease and we pay c£100k per year to the council.

the trust owning the ground (Via a community asset transfer) would ensure their ownership of the club - there were fears a few years ago that someone might look to come in when we were in financial peril and would look to minimise the trust (back when I was on the BOS there was a genuine belief that Ted Baker was looking to come in)

all speculation on my part but hopefully this explains my thinking
