I really don't know how he managed to win a title then had a dramatic capitulation..

I do feel that was one of the reasons he got the job as he's got that in the bank,he speaks well,was a well respected player,and bought into the ethos,so fair play on all that but..

He's so one dimensional,and we play the worst football at times under him,even Tisdale's crab football was no comparison to what we've got now..

It's definitely not the whole story, but maybe a part of it is he wants to set up to dominate possession, starve the opposition of the ball, wear out their minds and legs and pick them off, a la Pep Guardiola. He explained that high possession teams usually win leagues.

Arguably that approach is better for a team with a title chasing budget to win a title than it is for an avoid relegation budget to avoid relegation.

Exeweb clamouring for Caldwell to leave. He will, new bloke will come in, we'll still sink to league 2. After a couple of years we will be ready to have another shot at promotion. Eventual success, players will leave, new bloke will despair at our inability to compete financially, Exeweb outrage.
