I agree he had great potential at City, it was pitiful watching him trying to play down the left. Crossing the ball with the outside of his right foot? A joke.

That's an understandable surmise re Jayden Richardson if just one factor - the level played at - is looked at. But dig a little deeper and a more positive picture emerges...in 2021-22 in contrast to the two previous seasons he

..last season played some games for Forest first team in both cup and league competitions (the Championship) which he had never done before , including games in September 2021 after the transfer window closed
If you dig a little deeper you'll find Forest had an injury crisis in August when he played.

"Injuries, illness and suspensions have limited boss Chris Hughton’s options so far this season, and he remains particularly light on cover at full-back."

...and he didn't appear again for Forest after this period. Because he is nowhere near Championship level. Is he League One level? Well, who knows? The evidence leads me to believe not.

If we sell Josh Key and replace him with Jayden Richardson then what a huge step backwards that would be. Nothing against Jayden but he is not good enough for League one

An update from KMT would be good
Hes taken a 2 week holiday starting after the league 2 play off final and then his flight home will be delayed by at least 3 days so you won't be hearing anything until next week at the earliest!

Vadaine Oliver released by Gills, would he be someone we'd look at?

Another in the 'he's big and he's quick so he must be good but ain't all that in reality' category. He's 30 and has had three spells with three different clubs when he's managed to hit the acceptable '1 in 3' strike rate or put another way, 79 goals in 10 years.......... less than eight a year. No thanks.

I thought he was good when we played him at Northampton two seasons ago, but checking his record it's not blazing in glory and there must be better options out there,

Oliver seems to have peaked during his time at Gillingham. 31 goals in 2 seasons is decent, but I agree, at 30 he’ll most likely decline.

He’ll be moving back up North apparently, anyway so not much chance he’ll end up here in any case.

Who would you like to see us sign up top, Ian?
