The BBC is so predictable.
So many organisations are like sheep.
So many organisations are like sheep.
Not just TV, DB.I just think it's more of an ageism thing, TV is renowned for getting rid once you reach a certain age.
Much as I hate that term "Younger Audience" and I'm not in that category you're probably right FBH, Also agree about Alex Scott, This is one of them times the BBC would be dammed if they do, Dammed if they don't.It’ll be down to viewing demographics. They‘ll want a younger audience and sue barker won’t give them that. That’s not ageism, some old people do appeal to young people (Jeremy Corbin anyone ) but sue barker isn’t one of them.
And maybe Alex Scott interviewed for the role and was the strongest candidate? She’s very good. Why does this have to be a PC-world’s-gone-mad-token-person-of-colour decision?
Paignton Peach, surely.Torquay’s Sue had a real good run at it - 64 now. A quiet word to allow her the dignity of retiring before ‘freshening’ up the show with new host and captains would have been preferable.
Sam Quek and Jermaine Jenas? One captain will be male, one will be female.
