Unfortunately this evening was not able to be filmed. Shame really as most of the evenings are filmed for the archive.

Mike Mullarkey evening went really well. We, now, all know the offside rule and what the 4th official does. Fantastic memorabilia. We all got to handle a World Cup medal. One of only less than 20 given to Englishmen.

Hello again,

The guest speaker at our next meeting will be in the Boardroom on Wednesday 15th November, 6pm for a 6.30pm start. A chance to meet the legend that is Steve Flack.

We had a great day out yesterday watching the players train followed by a bite to eat at the pub.

Did any of you get to join in? PT's preferred age profiling would have stretched to one or two of you.... :)

Been a bit poorly since Friday. Anyway...The 3g pitch looks fantastic.

Malcolm..there were a few players who couldn't train properly. no more were needed. :)

Don't forget...Come and see and hear Flacky on Wednesday.

A reminder that tomorrow evening (Wednesday 15th November), the Senior Reds welcome Steve Flack as their guest speaker. Doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start, and we've been allocated use of the Boardroom. The downstairs bar will be open as usual, and we hope for a good turnout to hear Steve talk about his career and thoughts on the modern game.

Carlisle were once in the old first Division and, if i remember rightly - without resorting to the internet - were even top for a week or two, then slip like the proverbial down and down and down, until they are where they are today.
Quite right Andy. Carlisle toppled from the top league all the way down to playing Exeter City again. The same went for Northampton Town around 1958-59. They won consecutive promotions all the way to the old First Division, and toppled back down again league by league. I think us getting beaten by them away 0-9 figured into their triumphal upward march somewhere!
