Anyone who is a fan of the club should listen to the whole interview, it is very informative.
When I get home from work.

Why was Seymour handed a 2 - 3 year contract previously ?

Surely a 1 year deal was adequate.

At a time when there are going to be a lot of professionals scrambling around for a deal he should count himself very fortunate.

Yeah, I wouldn't usually watch a 30 minute interview, but there wasn't any rambling. Taylor was straight to the point and direct with his answers.

I just don't think he has much to say about Ajose and I guess he didn't want to dwell on it. They probably knew he was leaving before the season even started.

Think he was pretty clear in that interview that Jokull obviously hopes to break into the Reading first team squad this pre season and if he doesn't we will be picking up the phone and asking the question.

Yes talking up nothing...except for mentioning wanting to sign 3 or 4 marquee players and saying we are in the best position we have been in a long time for bringing new players in. Without literally uttering the words "we are going for the title this year" he pretty much spelt it out to anybody listening fair mindedly that promotion is very much the goal for 21/22.
What in your opinion constitutes a ‘marquee’ signing?! Are we talking transfer fee, Premier League experience?! Do you really think we are signing players everyone’s heard of?! there’s loads of comments on here about why we struggle to sign any type of player never mind top quality. So you think realistically based on what’s gone before we will be in the mix for promotion next season?! Someone said players will join Rochdale rather than us…….

One bit in that interview that made me frown a bit was when KMT said that Fisher knew full well he was behind Seymour in the pecking order.

Seymour was given a lot of game time and showed little to suggest that at present he is up to standard. He did not improve for the game time given. Fisher was not given much game time. The decision to persist with Seymour over Fisher comes across to me as a bit like KMT's substitutions: too slow to change a plan that isn't working, blinkered, too formulaic and an apparent unwillingness to try something different.

Jake Taylor agreed to join Paul Tisdale's Bristol Rovers at the end of January in a pre contact agreement for 21/22. Not sure if he put pen to pre contract though as I doubt Joey Barton will want him.

If you don't have anything nice to say, it's better not to say anything at all...

I’d imagine most people are struggling to find the right words to describe it. How he gets away with it is anyone’s guess. What does Taylor see in him?! It’s like Seymour universally lambasted on here for being pants but in Taylor’s eyes our go to striker. If that’s the benchmark…….. Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey.
