I imagine I would have won it, depending on what points system was being employed, natch.
Did you miss the boat too Stroudy ? You would definitely have been right up there in the mix; much to Indo's chagrin.

I concur...Thank you for allowing we mere mortals to have a chance to taste victory so often snatched from our grasp

I've been waiting all season for a run of form from Port Vale so that I wouldn't look such a pranny for predicting them to finish 1st

April (plus Easter Monday) update:

Although he has tailed off somewhat in terms of his points total, Billy The Fish remains clear leader on 104 points. Joint second are Frustrated Grecian and Grecian-on-Tyne with 116 points, so the gap has closed but only slightly. Banksy and EX4 6PX are next in line on 118.

At the other end of the table, ecfc70 remains bottom with 154, but it's now just two points up to Anonymous on 152.

There is now just one team whose median place and actual place are identical - Lincoln (6th).

On the other hand, there are three teams whose predicted and actual places are 10+ apart: Accrington (predicted 15th, actual 1st), Chesterfield (predicted 11th, actual 23rd) and Newport (predicted 22nd, actual 12th).
Delighted to no longer be named among the highest scorers...

That makes two of us...

Here goes...drum roll etc.

So, the regular season has finished, and with it so has this competition. And the winner, completing what has been a campaign where he has led pretty much from start to finish, is Billy The Fish with a fantastic 92 points. Billy only got one finishing position spot on (Lincoln, 7th), but was within one place a staggering six further times and within two places another six times, so managed to predict more than half the teams to within two places. Like pretty much everyone else, he stumbled on Accrington (10 places out), Chesterfield (10) and Newport (11).

Completing the top three were EX4 6PX (106 points) and Grecian-on-Tyne (108 points).

Down at the bottom was someone who was also in position from start to finish, ecfc70 with 156 points. He will probably be wishing he'd swapped Accrington and Chesterfield for Newport and Notts County.

Just above ecfc70 were Anonymous (152 points) and CC (148 points).

The final league table in full:

1 Billy The Fish 92
2 EX4 6PX 106
3 Grecian-on-Tyne 108
4 tommoore85 112

Fulchester will be celebrating Fishtail's victory and when I have time to update the Beat The Bookie thread I have a feeling our Piscean goalminder colleague may have pulled off a fabulous double.

(clap) Well done Billy.
