But what were you promised? May's deal? Johnson didn't like that. Johnson's deal? Farage didn't like that. Corbyn's deal? Yet to be discussed..
A large family decides to leave Exeter and go and live somewhere else. There's lots of reasons for this - it's not what it was, the Council's too left wing, the houses are too expensive, there are too many students or, most commonly, the family feels stuck in a rut and wants a change of scene. But a sizeable minority of the family want to stay in Exeter so they have a vote on it. It is narrowly decided that they should leave, so start looking for somewhere to go.
No-one really knows where to begin. Some want to stay within easy travelling distance of Exeter and some want to move much further away. Some want to go and live deep in the countryside, others want to be by the sea, some fancy a small town in Devon while others want to move up country. While this discussion is going on a lot of people are saying "Why can't we just stay in Exeter". Other members of the family are saying they don't care where they go as long as they just get the move over and done with.
Eventually they decide to move to Tavistock. No-one likes this very much, but at least it's a decision. By this time Granny, who was keen to move out of Exeter, has died and the teenagers have grown up and are wondering why they are being uprooted to move to Tavistock. An increasing number of family members wonder why they can't think again about staying in Exeter, or at least look at the implications of moving to Tavistock. But the answer is no, the decision has been made - we promised ourselves we'd move out of Exeter, so we're moving to Tavistock, end of. Anyone who disagrees is spitting in the face of this family...
How many of the family actually voted in the move to Tavy referendum art ? 37%
