The game ? Social gatherings were forbidden, business or pleasure, the tenant has now publicly admitted he was aware, didn’t stop it, and attended. Sue Grey, the mandarin is investigating rather than the Met police, for reasons unclear. Everyone is equal under the law in a liberal democracy ….

Ten point lead for Labour in the latest yougov, which according to modelling would give a Labour majority of four with current boundaries, or thirteen shy of one with proposed changes. If you reverse the Labour and Conservative poll numbers then there would be Con majorities of 56 and 54.

Says a lot about our system of democracy.

Lowest Tory polling numbers since 2013 apparently. Two years later of course CMD bagged himself a surprise majority.
You flag up the almighty challenge for Labour to get a majority without Scotland. Perhaps it’s time Labour grasped the PR nettle and accepted it will never govern without it.

Indeed.
Labour would’ve done some polling on it, but for those for whom the thought of a perennial Tory government is a horrible thought why wouldn’t you embrace it and coalesce around a party offering it in their manifesto?
The only problem of course is that it probably provokes an equal reaction from those voters for whom the thought of a permanent liberal coalition perhaps involving separatists and the greens would be too much to stomach.
Choices, choices eh? 😉

David Lammy is a racebaiter, although if he’s periodically up for election in an inner London seat he probably has to be. Accusing comic relief or was it one of the other TV charity campaigns of ‘white saviour’ syndrome is an example of that racebaiting IMO.

I won’t speak for Jinxy, but enough with the lectures art. By all means argue the toss about what a spiffing bloke you think Lammy is but I need no comments about me not understanding the 21st century. 🙄

We already had a referendum on PR under Cameron & PR lost convincingly.
